Miles Davis - So What ?
An old joke, but one worth hearing again: A rabid jazz lover dies and goes to heaven, where St. Peter leads him into a club where Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington and Lester Young are on the bandstand. Over in the corner stands a nattily dressed man clutching a trumpet, his back to the audience. "Who's that?" queries the fan. "Oh," says St. Peter. "That's just God. He's pretending he's Miles Davis."

Gary Moore. In Memoriam … Gary Moore, the legendary Irish rock artist and former guitarist of Thin Lizzy, has died at age 58. He was found dead hours after checking into a five-star hotel in Estepona, Costa del Sol in Spain. The blues rock guitarist arrived at the hotel with a younger woman and was in a good mood, ordered a bottle of champagne and some brandy to enjoy the first night of what was supposed to be a six-day holiday. The Christmas Song The Christmas Song was created in quite interesting circumstances. It was summer 1944 and Mel Torme was in California. He was a well-known jazz singer at the time, who also played drums, was an actor (appeared on screen with Frank Sinatra, among others) and a pilot.
