LOU STEIN (pianist, composer) was born April 22, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA and passed away December 11, 2001 in Litchfield, Connecticut. A swing era pianist who performed with Glenn Miller and Ray McKinley’s band, Stein was also a popular and versatile freelance performer for session work, appearing on Charlie Parker’s “Stella by Starlight” and “Lover”.
