John Lee Hooker, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee in 1991, was honored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a concert in his honor entitled "A 50th Anniversary Boogie". The sold out concert took place on October 30 at Stanford University. Those celebrating with John Lee included fellow artists and some of his best friends, including Charlie Musselwhite, John Hammond, Elvin Bishop, Eddie Kirkland, Johnnie Johnson, Pete Sears and John's daughter Zakiya Hooker.
