Simple, ravishing singing of some wonderful old songs. Really, this release cannot be faulted, except that the booklet in my copy was misprinted. At least some lyrics are included, but they don't always correspond to what is sung. Still, a very welcome recording, well worth hearing. Deller's recordings of "Barbara Allen" and "Waly, Waly" are particularly lovely. Desmond Dupre is a luxury accompanist indeed. This is music making at its very best. By the way, I find "The Wraggle-Taggle Gypsies" a very disturbing song - haunting, in fact. ---amazon.com
