Violinist Leticia Moreno has published the album Spanish Landscapes, recorded for Deutsche Gramophon together with pianist Ana-María Vera. The recording is available on CD and major digital platforms, and includes works by Joaquín Turina, Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados, Ernesto Halffter, Pablo Sarasate, Eduard Toldrà, Federico García Lorca, and Isaac Albéniz.

Leticia herself has announced the happy event on her personal Facebook account: “Dear All, I am thrilled to share with you the news that Spanish Landscapes, my record with pianist Ana-María Vera, is to be issued shortly by Deutsche Gramophon. I’d like to dedicate the album to all those friends, colleagues and family members whose unconditional support has made this project possible. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the Fundación BBVA for sharing my faith in the initiative. I do hope you enjoy its results!”.

Leticia Moreno will be performing during the present month of October with the Barcelona Symphony and National Catalonian Orchestra, as well as the Symphony Orchestra of Galicia, with which she is to premiere Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Violin Concerto. She will subsequently embark upon a tightly-packed schedule of concerts, as one of the artists chosen this year by the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO), which invites different young musicians to its annual ECHO Rising Stars series. The tour is to include Luxembourg, Budapest, Vienna, Cologne, Paris, Birmingham, Barcelona, Lisbon, Porto, Athens, Baden Baden, Brussels, Stockholm, Gateshead, Dortmund, Amsterdam, Hamburg, and London.

Violinist Leticia Moreno, who collaborates frequently with international conductors, will in the near future be performing with Lorin Maazel, Jonathan Nott, Carlos Kalmar, Ivor Bolton, Josep Pons, Pablo González, and Yuri Termikanov, among others. She will also be offering recitals in Spain, in the cities of Santander, Málaga and Madrid.

In 2012, Leticia Moreno (born in Madrid in 1985) was awarded the Prince of Girona Foundation Prize for Arts and Letters, which she received personally from HRH the Prince of Asturias and Girona, Felipe de Borbón. --- musiespana.com
