Javier Malosetti was a steady member of Luis Alberto Spinetta´ s band for eight years. He has also worked with Ruben Rada, Dino Saluzzi, Lito Vitale, Jaime Ross, Baby Lopez Furst, Alex Acuña, Larry Coryell, Jim Hall and Herb Ellis among many other well- known national and international artists. He has directed and hosted the TV music show “Música para soñar” aired by Telefé in which the most prominent national and international artists have performed. He currently hosts “El Perseguidor”, a documentary series devoted to the history of Blues, Jazz and Soul music, aired by Encuentro.

From 1987 to 2004 he taught private lessons of electric bass guitar, however, since then he has only given seldom master classes and seminaries for amateur as well as professional bass players in the country. Since 2008 he has played an instrument specially crafted for him by the great luthier Mariano Maese: the M2, a double neck 5- string- bass and guitar. In 2010 the American guitar manufacturer Schecter crafted a special model of an electric bass guitar designed solely by him.

From March to August 2011 Javier Malosetti is co-starring “El Pasajero”, the Argentine stage version of “Passing Strange” the well acclaimed off- Broadway musical with lyrics and book by Stew and music and orchestrations by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, together with Diego Reinhold and under the direction of Florencia PeñaJavier Malosetti, María Onetto and Ana Frenkel in which not only does he sing and play the guitar under the musical conduction of Mariano Otero, but he also makes his acting debut.
