This is a good collection of jazz-rock fusion tunes by a group of musicians that never fail to impress. This genre of music can sometimes be let down by mundane compositions or endless noodling that becomes redundant but CAB have always managed to remain exciting and enjoyable. The tunes are well constructed and performed with lots of sonic energy and good clean production. I'm a big fan of Tony Macalpine and Virgil Donati so their presence here is the reason to buy for me. Their work in other styles of music is equally impressive but it's great hearing them lay down some fusion tracks with great playing and melodies. Song highlights include the groovy and melodic "Just Do It" and the funky track "The Prankster". The artwork on the CD sleeve is impressive too.
