Horst Lippmann and Fritz Rau invited Margie Evans back after her acclaimed appearances in 1981 and 1982 . Sadly, 1985 was to be the last year of the American Folk Blues Festivals that toured all over Europe and behind the iron curtain between1961 - 1985.

1985 marked a sad good bye for the American Flok Blues Festival. The last year's line-up included James "Sparky" Rucker, Blind Joe Hill, Cash McCall, James "Son" Thomas, Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, The Young Blues Thrillers with Margie Evans' nephew Rickey Grundy on piano and vocal, Al Keith on bass and vocal, as well as Lance Lee ond drums and vocal. --- margieevans.com
