Kat Riggins, the ‘bluesy songstress with a rockstar flair and a hip hop heartbeat’, and the Blues Revival Band will definitely be shaking things up again as she returns to the island after her first successful performance in Pietermaai District as part of the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival 2014 pre-program. Riggins’ purpose is “reviving the Blues one song at a time” and and that is exactly what she does in her own musical style: a blend of blues with hip hop, pop, rock, and country music. In 2011, Riggins recorded her first EP Seoul Music, a compilation of blues covers, during her tour through Asia and the Middle East.
