Bill Lyerly's playing on Railroad Station Blues recalls electric bluesmen like Muddy Waters and Freddie King, as well as blues-based rockers like Clapton and Hendrix, but he is most beholden to the powerful attack of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Highlights include "Hangman," a duet with Steve Earle.
