Ted Horowitz, better known as Popa Chubby, is a master of his craft. Hailing from The Bronx, New York City, New York. His skill at guitar is paralleled only by greats such as the late Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Satriani and Jimi Hendrix. Taking blues-rock to a whole new level, adding an element of eroticism to his lyrics and blending them together perfectly, this man has something to offer for all. With subtle, more slower jams like “I Ain’t Giving Up”, more jazzy endeavors such as the opening track “I Don’t Want Nobody” and then down and dirty track such as “69 Dollars” and “The Finger Bangin’ Boogie”, Universal Breakdown Blues is an album you don’t want to miss. It will have you gettin’ down, singing along, and playing along with some air guitar. The man’s vocals are incredible and fit his genre perfectly. This album takes you on a journey that lasts approximately an hour but feels like days and leaves you satiated, but wanting more. There’s not much I can say about this album, except that the solos are insane, the bass lines are groovy and the lyrics are powerful, yet fun. Popa Chubby will definitely boogie his way into the hearts of millions with “Universal Breakdown Blues”. He speaks of love, loss, lust, deception and many things in between. This is an album you truly have to hear to believe. Popa Chubby należy do grona wyjątkowo płodnych artystów.

Klimat radykalnie zmienia się wraz z pierwszym dźwiękami „I Ain’t Giving Up”.

Zaskakuje za to nawiązaniami do klasyki... muzyki poważnej, fundując cytat z „Dla Elizy” Beethovena w „Over The Rainbow”.
