As the winner of the Univision television network’s reality competition ¡Viva el Sueño!, it’s no big surprise that Ana Isabelle would record a collection of hit songs previously recorded by other artists. What is a surprise is how many of these songs she makes her own. The cleverly titled Mi Sueño finds the singer convincingly delivering hits like “A Puro Dolor” and “Por Amarte Asi” for the first time, along with revisiting some songs that helped her win the televised competition including “De Creer fn Ti,” “Imagíname Sin Ti”, and ”Yo Te Recuerdo.” Angel Lopez, Cristian Castro, and Noel Schajris all guest on the album, but the focus stays on Isabelle as she holds her own with these seasoned veterans. ---David Jeffries, Rovi
