Сергей Маврин - Official English translation of band name: Mavrick / Sergey Mavrin / Mavrin.

The band Mavrick was founded in 1998 by former guitarist of Ария (Arya) Sergey Mavrin. The band's name was taken from his nickname, that also have a relationship with word "Maverick". In 2001 year band was officially renamed to "Сергей Маврин" ("Sergey Mavrin"). Arthur "Golden Eagle" Mikheev has returned to band in the middle of 2000 year, but for very short period. After that he joined to Ария in 2002. Alexey Nelidov recorded only four songs in the beginning of 1998 year and then was replaced by Arthur "Golden Eagle" Mikheev.

In 2009 band officially shortened their name to simple "Маврин" ("Mavrin"). --- metal-archives.com
