Tech death metal band BUICIDE was formed in 2004 yet its routes originate from the previous millennium, from the late 90’s, when brutal death metal combo named BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE appeared in Saint Petersburg, Russia. BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE played lots of gigs, open air festivals and recorded one album yet gradually the band’s music began to move into more melodic and technical direction.

After line up changes took place in summer 2004 BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE was transformed into a new band with a shorter name and different music ambitions. In several months new material was ready and the band’s debut show was played at “Rock Palace” Open Air with bands like BONEY NEM, RESLEEP, KOMA, PSILOCYBE LARVAE, TARTHARIA, ABNORMAL, etc.

In the end of 2005 BUICIDE started recording the full length album which was mixed afterwards at ASTIA Studio, Finland, by Anssi Kippo, a platinum selling producer famous for work with CHILDREN OF BODOM, TO/DIE/FOR, IMPALED NAZARENE, LULLACRY, ROTTEN SOUND, ENTWINE and many more. The album got title “Escaping from Yourself” and BUICIDE obtained positive reviews and comparisons with DEATH, ATHEIST, SADIST, PESTILENCE and CYNIC. BUICIDE is also a well accomplished live act, they have played many successful gigs sharing stage with such bands as NORTHER, VESANIA, GRENOUER, NOMANS LAND, DOMINIA, GREAT SORROW, FM 2000, WOLFSANGEL, ASGUARD, ITEM, MCM, TARTHARIA, SATANATION, FERROTALE, DIAPOSON, etc. BUICIDE member also participated (as session, guest or live musicians) and contributed the creativity of TARTHARIA, GRENOUER and SEVERNYE VRATA bands. --- coprorecords.co.uk
