Arguably Australia's most beloved singer-songwriter, Kelly is held in the highest regard by both an adoring community of musicians and a fiercely loyal fan base. The 53-year-old has performed with, among others, the Dots, the Coloured Girls and the Messengers, as well as his current, strongly credentialled live band. Over his 34-year career, he has been remarkably productive and continues his role as one of our most admired and respected voices.
The two-disc set (40 tracks) updates his first best-of collection with another 20 tracks that trace his recent output. As well as Leaps and Bounds, Before Too Long and To Her Door, you get the sublime single If I Could Start Today Again, the hard-to-get-classics Every F***ing City and Shane Warne, as well as the best Australian Christmas track of all time, How to Make Gravy. Also available as a one-disc package. --- Andrew Murfett, theage.com.au
