Morissette wrote her new collection at home while caring for her newborn son. Alanis Morissette's seventh studio album, the spry and hopeful Havoc and Bright Lights, couldn't be more thematically different than 2008's brooding, techno-kissed Flavors of Entanglement, which dealt with the emotional fallout from the dissolution of her engagement with actor Ryan Reynolds.
