Another greatest-hits compilation from Welsh/Nigerian singer Shirley Bassey, Twenty of the Best offers up 20 of her biggest hits, including "As Long as He Needs Me" from Oliver!, "Goldfinger," and George Harrison's "Something." This disc almost replicates the material on EMI's 1995 CD Goldsinger: The Best of Shirley Bassey, but with six fewer songs. Missing from Twenty of the Best are "Moonraker," "It's Yourself," and "Ave Maria." Included in this collection, but not the more expansive one, are "What Kind of Fool Am I?" and a cover of the Beatles' "The Fool on the Hill." Those who like Bassey's Beatles songs may want to track this disc down. But those looking for an introduction to her catalog may want to opt for the extra material (if the price is equal). ---JT Griffith, AllMusic Review
