Międzykulturowe oblicze Megitzy jest głęboko zakorzenione w jej podhalańsko romskim dziedzictwie. Urodzona w Zakopanem Megitza, w wieku 16 lat sama wyemigrowała do USA, gdzie ożyło jej marzenie o dzieleniu się muzyką, która od zawsze pulsowała w jej góralskich żyłach.

Krytycy opisują jej muzykę jako "muzyka na nowe milenium". Doszukują się w niej inspiracji kulturą bałkańską, latynoską, etno - jazzem, reggae, a nawet rockiem; lecz to nie gatunki muzyczne a ludzkie życie i uczucia niezmiennie pozostają kompozycyjnym kompasem Megitzy. Intercultural sound of MEGITZA is deeply rooted in her Highlander Roma heritage. Born in Zakopane (Poland), at the age of 16 Megitza migrated to the USA on her own where her dream of making music came true.

Critics describe her music as "music for the new millennium" seeking in it influences of the Balkan, Roma, Highlander, Latin, ethno - jazz, reggae, rock music - and it is not the music genres but human life, and feelings, that invariably remain as the compositional compass of Megitza.
