Megitza - vocals, double bass, wavedrum
Kuba "Bobas" Wilk - vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo
Stasiu Rzadkosz - vocals, accordion

Megitza sama w wieku 16 lat opuściła swoją górską wioskę w pobliżu Zakopanego i wyjechała do Ameryki. Oprócz Megitzy w skład trio wchodzą: Stasiu Rzadkosz, samouk akordeonista i wokalista z Zakopanego oraz Kuba "Bobas" Wilk - multi instrumentalista z Biecza, znany z wieloletniej współpracy z zespołem Trebunie-Tutki.

Muzyka Megitza Trio to energiczna, progresywna maszyna folkowa. Używają tradycyjnych instrumentów do tworzenia żywych sampli, dając swojej publiczności brzmienia transowe - wszystko natchnione melodiami inspirowanymi tradycją i śpiewanymi przez wszystkich trzech muzyków. ---kaprolmusic.com

Megitza at the age of 16, on her own, left her mountain village near Zakopane and moved to America. The wish of youthful freedom, her ambitions, charisma, and the Highlander strength combined, is what led her to a successful music career in USA and now in Europe. Following her roots, she sings and plays the upright bass, just like her father, who comes from a Highlander Roma family with musical traditions. After successful 11 years in USA, where she has performed hundreds of concerts, also at the most prestigious stages such as Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Old Town School of Folk Music, World Music Festival, Summerdance Festival in Chicago, the Drom in New York, or the Lotus Festival in Indianapolis, just to name a few, she moved back to Europe. She got invited to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and following her successful performance she was also invited to Jazz Fest Wien, the Woodstock Festival, and many more in Europe. The artist has released 6 studio albums, the newest being “Gra Folk” (2015) (transl.: “Plays Folk”) by her formation Megitza Trio. She invited Stasiu Rzadkosz, a self-taught accordionist and a vocalist, a Highlander from Zakopane, and Kuba “Bobas” Wilk - a multi instrumentalist with Ukrainian roots from Biecz in Poland, to collaborate in this project.

Megitza Trio's music is an energetic, progressive folk machine. They use traditional instruments and the new loop gadgets to create live samples, giving their audience the trance-folk sound they love and the tradition inspired melodies sang by all three musicians. ---kaprolmusic.com
