Celia started her musical life at the age of 12 at the Music Conservatory of Granada, encouraged by her father, Antonio Fernández de Moya, a flamenco composer and guitarist.

Since 1995 she studied with soprano Maryan Bryfdair at the Centre of “Lyrical Arts of Granada”.She passed her singing 5th Grade wards test at the Associated Board Music School in London.

From 1995 on she studied with several Jazz musicians from Granada, and Andalucia, her home town, with whom she still collaborates often.

Celia has worked with Dra. Lopez del Castillo, a throat specialist, with whom she collaborated by helping others shape their professional voice and improve their singing. From 2001 throug to 2005 she has lived in NYC a for short periods of time , to study with diferents jazz musicians like, Sheila Jordan, Barry Harrys, Jay Clayton...

Furthermore, Celia is also a teacher in the Valencia music school, L'Espai Musical. And for 2006 -07 in “Taller 3” in Castellón, Superior Arts school in Murcia ( Workshops) among others..

She's attended several international seminars in Spain with musicians like Mike P. Mossman, Arturo O'Farrell, Mark Turner, Paolo Fresu, Jeane Lee, Sheila Jordan, Perico Sambeat... She has also sung with numerous Spanish, European and American important jazz artists such as Bob Mintzer, Don Braden, Benny Golson, Dave Samuels, Fabio Miano, and Perico Sambeat, Vince Benedetti, Uri Cane, Carmen Linares.

Célia is the leading singer of the “Granada Big Band”, and use to perform with diferents bands in jazz and world and flamenco music among others.. --- celiamur-simpatia-eng.blogspot.com
