Vocalist Raquel Bitton is in a romantic mood on her new album, and her voice is warm, passionate & sultry. She's accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra on this collection of some of the most beautiful love ballads ever written. ---Editorial Reviews, amazon.com

Raquel Bitton has been wowing audiences with her delicate French jazz singing since the early '80s, and this San Francisco native has impressed legends like Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett. Most importantly, Bitton has taken on a global stance thanks to her stunning renditions of French chanteuse Edith Piaf. Her impeccable vocal beauty captured such '30s and '40s classics on her 1999 release Sings Edith Piaf, allowing Bitton to compose her work on a grand performance level. She expanded her work in song specifically in stage musicals and dramas such as Hearts: Le Ballet des Coeurs and Les Enfants du Paradis.

Bitton spent most of 2000 performing her hit show Raquel Bitton Sings Edith Piaf, Her Story…Her Songs at distinguished concert venues across North America, including a sold out opening night at Carnegie Hall. Her album roster also includes 1994's I Wish You Love and 1996's Changes. In a Jazzy Mood followed three years later. ---MacKenzie Wilson, allmusic.com
