The set includes 151 performances in chronological order, including the entire existing output of the legendary 1961 Village Vanguard sessions, as well as 17 selections from a previously unissued solo studio session and 7 other unreleased items. This boxed set also comes with a 32-page illustrated booklet including rare photos, full discographical details, an appreciation of Evans by critic Martin Williams, and personal commentary on each session by producer Orrin Keepnews.
