Symphony #48 in C major ("Maria Theresia") is believed to have been composed around 1769 for a visit by Austrian Empress Maria Theresa. Haydn later quoted the first movement's opening in his 1779 Symphony #69 in C major ("Laudon").
Although it has a later designation, Symphony #59 in A major (the "Fire" or "Feure") may have been composed well before 1769. Its nickname probably refers not to the work's tone, but because it was in part later used to underscore a stageplay, "Der Feuersbrunst."
Symphony #92 in G major ("Oxford") from 1789, is one of three commissioned by the French Count d'Ogny. Although originally premiered in Paris, this work got its title from a later performance at Oxford, England.
