This CD presents one of the most beautiful chamber music of 19th century by great Russian composer Glinka. Heartfelt and fantastic melodies are intertwined with virtuosic passages by each and all of the performers. The piano parts in the grand sextet are simply out of this world. The performance by Alexander Pletnev is fabulous, once again proving his dexterity in performing Russian chamber music.
