Biber's music is heavily underrated, and this album demonstrates the sheer beauty and elegance of Biber. Unlike some of his later choral works, there is less emphasis on the martial in his Requiem, but nothing else is missed.
Although not Biber at his very best, it still is significant, and for those seriously into baroque and early baroque, a true indication of where later composers 'poached' some good ideas. --- Joan H. Hammond, amazon.com
