OK, this is not the complete Water Music, it's a Suite. These eleven pieces are the best pieces, and they are about all you will hear in most concert performances. They are played in a full and grand manner, and I like it.
As for the Water Music, there are two different scores: Wind orchestra, and String orchestra. This is the string orchestra version, again done in a very grand style. One writer, talking about the original performances, says there were "over 100" musicians, so a big band is certainly justified, and it sounds great. ---bujoldfan "bujoldfan" (USA)
