Blues Boy Willie was born to sing the BLUES in the small cotton farming community of Memphis, Texas. His career began before he knew the meaning of the word. Willie’s Father was a bluesman himself and played harmonica for the Mother of the Blues herself, Ma’ Rainey. Willie’s first performance was at the tender age of five. Over the years, Willie has gained experience and improved performance. He has gained many accomplishments such as; Awarded Male Blues Vocalist of The Year by the Bay Area Bues Society in 2011. Contended in The International Blues Challenge in 2012. Cast to play the perfect part for him as an "Authentic Bluesman" in a movie to be televised in 2014. There is another CD in progress for the movie track. Movie title "A Song For Emily" written/directed/produced by David Asmussen, coproducer, Robert Nelson.

The music you will hear on "Can't Deny The Blues" is full of original lyrics. Blues Boy Willie on vocals and harmonica, featuring Johnny Reverb on electric blues guitar, as well as, Perry Huges on Bass, Vic Richardson on Drums, 'PeeWee' Joel Louis on back up vocals and keys, and Paul Goad on keyboard. The Title Track is all about Willie and his life growing up as the 7th child in a family full of talent. Titles such as "Let's Go Poppin'" and "Juke Joint In Your Barn", also ring true to Willie's past experiences. The title "Worse Blues" was inspired by the political arena and economics of our times. The CD is full of fun dance tunes such as Willie Dixon's Mojo Workin' and Willie and Johnny's original "Catfish Head Gumbo" that has a zydeco flair, so, have some FUN! ---cdbaby.com
