Saw this wonderful band last night, 38 years on the road and still one of the best blues acts in the world. This recording though is back in 1991, and has been in the vaults since, but it was found, re-mastered and now available for purchase. The is the Big Blues Band, horns ,keyboards all live at the Town and Country Club, and I a cracking live set over the two discs. Recorded just after the 'Fat City' album hit the market many of the songs from it come in this set, several of the extra musicians here also performed on that album. Joining Paul Jones, Dave Kelly, Tom McGuinness, Gary Fletcher and Rob Townsend (yes ! still exactly the same line up as it is now). They are great as a band but add the likes of BobHall's piano, The Rumour Horns, and The Kokomo Singers and do you have some talent on the stage that night. I you were there well you can enjoy it all again, if not then this is simply a not to miss album by as said one of the best bands around. The sound is first class, and with a mix of their own songs, some great blues covers, what more could you want. Get it in those Christmas stockings now. Big and live and mighty good! ---pete clack, amazon.com
