Lassus spent much of his working life in the service of the Bavarian Court in Munich. He was a crucial figure in the development of 16th century music, and his enormous output of compositions earned him great fame and admiration. The double-choir Missa Osculetur me was unknown until discovered in a manuscript in Slovenia in the 1970s.
