British, US, African and European blues, greek, indian and gypsy music influences. My first love is rock because I find the energy and electricity the closest to my heart in terms of total expression and communication. I have enjoyed songwriting since very young and find it the most natural of my talents, although he I am better known for my phenomenal guitar technique. In 1978 I returned to England after 4 years on the road. I toured and recorded in Jamaica, USA and Canada. I have toured in Uk and Europe with Ginger Baker who taught me to perform on a totally new level! I lived, gigged and recorded in Greece for 1 1/2 years and received great support from all the beautiful people there. I am also famous in England as a guitar teacher in improvisation and my revolutionary "Spirit Mind Body" or "Zen" method of improvisation. I have been noted by English jazz pioneers as a much needed innovator on the teaching scene. I was asked to write a book on my method but it would take 2 years of total dedication to successfully complete as I am a perfectionist. So far I have taught over 25000 semi-pro and pro guitarists, over 30 years in the UK! I was born in Fulham, London UK. My parents are from Cyprus and emigrated to the UK in the early 50's. They left an island wartorn and soon became refugees during the 1974 invasion. My ethnic roots are from many neighbouring lands as Cyprus is between Africa, Asia and Europe. My goal is to create a New Earth Blues and Rock Guitar Trio that is as inspiring as the Jimi Hendrix Experience but with a larger range of influences.
