When Teresa sings, you can feel it in your bones. ---Levon Helm
Teresa is where Texas meets New Orleans - funky and greasy - and everyone has a good time! Texas-born Teresa James has been called 'a singer's singer' - but James deserves wider recognition. One of the many highlights of this release is the opening cut, When the Winds Die Down, written by producer Terry Wilson (Teresa's husband). With its acoustic side and chugging rhythm, the song is a subtle slab of Delta Blues with a contemporary, relevant theme: Teresa James has the power and pipes to go as far as anyone has! She may not be a household name yet, but Oh Yeah! proves that she's working on it!
