This is an album that promises of great things to come. Mia Borders has an incredible voice and a joy to what she does that isn't rivaled by many. However, the over all "Quarter Life Crisis" is not much more than good "background music". What I mean by that is it's the type of thing I'll play when I'm cooking dinner. It's not strong enough to break my attention but provides a descent little tone to a fill up the time. There is nothing here that makes me think, "Oh, I have to hear that again".

With the exception of the song "Shooter" it is the musical equivalent of Campbell's soup, not superior but not offensive either. It's just kind of there. If Mia Borders recognizes the power she's harboring and lets it loose on her next release, I'll gladly purchase it. I will, though, not look forward to a continuation of what's offered here solid as it is. --- Rich L., amazon.com
