"Playing in La Paz was certainly the most fun of any band I have ever been in. We took it very seriously though and our professionalism was never in question. What killed us, in hindsight, was image. At that time bands like Bon Jovi and Whitesnake were going all pretty-boy and then Europe came along and everyone in the music business wanted to sign androgynous blonde Swedes. It just wasn't us and we were probably stupid for trying to get that "look", but that was the only way that anyone in A&R would talk to us. Classic case of "never mind the music, feel the spandex". So we lost our deal before we got our first album released...such is life...but now we have GRANITE!

It was a great wee rock band though and we've all remained true friends. We do occasional get-together shows just for the hell of it and man do we have a blast. We've also put up our old demos for sale online with the proceeds going to charity. Buy 'em all folks! " --- Doogie White, doogiewhite.com

Titled “As Yet Untitled”, this is the debut solo album of Scottish vocalist Doogie White, mainly known as frontman for acts like Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen, Cornerstone and (currently) Tank. For the writing of the material he invited some good friends that he has made over the years and the result is a classic hard rock album, counting ten tracks. About the title, White says: “I always thought my first album should be called like this. The journalists at Sounds and Kerrang! always had a line that so and so were in the studio recording an album, as yet untitled … Well, now I have actually done that.” For the recording of the songs, White also invited a lot of guests (see the list on the left-hand side). On certain forums I read that the album sounds like AC/DC, but that’s only the case on two tracks, of which “Catz Got Yer Tongue” is the most distinct example. For the rest, this is just an enjoyable album. Nothing more, nothing less. --- rockreport.be
