I have everything that France Gall has ever produced. She is my favourite singer by a mile - and has been since 1965. This is her best album, with Evidemment, the best track she has produced. I've always found French to be a much better language for lyrics than English and this album epitomises why.

France Gall bridged the gap between the ye ye girls of the 60s to a fully fledged mature entertainer. Her husband Michel Berger wrote all of the tracks she produced after the ye ye regime and this album is a perfect reflection of his writing talent coupled with her unique signing. Magnifique. ---thompsi, rateyourmusic.com

Discovered this album while in Paris for the '87 French Open tennis championships. Instantly fell in love with the title track and quickly developed a keen liking for the rest of the album. Gall was a bubbly pop sensation in France in the '60's and '70's, so her longevity itself is impressive. This album, produced with her husband, Michel Berger, takes her music "of age" and gives up on her "happy" sound for a much more adult-focused musical product. Hear the ache in her voice on "Ella, Elle L'a", and let your imagination take you to late night along the Seine with "C'est Bon Que Tu Sois La". Even if you can't understand a word of French--like me--you'll enjoy Gall's unique voice and Berger's fine arrangements. --- Soonerson, amazon.com
