Cole Albert Porter (ur. 9 czerwca 1891, zm. 15 października 1964) – jeden z największych kompozytorów amerykańskich, twórca musicali, zarówno filmowych, jak i wystawianych na Broadwayu (najsłynniejszy z nich to Kiss me Kate!). Przedstawiciel tzw. wielkiej piątki kompozytorów, którzy tworzyli zasady musicalu obowiązujące do końca pierwszej poł. XX w. Ceniony za eleganckie i wyrafinowane melodie oraz błyskotliwe, często dwuznaczne teksty.

Cole Albert Porter (June 9, 1891 – October 15, 1964) was an American composer and songwriter. His works include the musical comedies Kiss Me, Kate, Fifty Million Frenchmen, DuBarry Was a Lady and Anything Goes, as well as songs like "Night and Day", "I Get a Kick out of You", "Well, Did You Evah!" and "I've Got You Under My Skin". He was noted for his sophisticated, bawdy lyrics, clever rhymes and complex forms. Porter was one of the greatest contributors to the Great American Songbook. Cole Porter is one of the few Tin Pan Alley composers to have written both the lyrics and the music for his songs.

When i first saw this i skimmed past it thinking "Electric Jazz?" Then i saw Zero 7 on it & this got my attention as i am a fan of them. If you like Zero 7 you will like this album too.
